You grew up doing it before you could read.
Forehead. Heart. Left shoulder. Right shoulder.
In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Nobody told you what you were actually touching.
The forehead — your third eye. The seat of inner vision, pineal gland activation, the point Thoth calls the gateway between the physical mind and divine knowing.
The heart — where the Ba anchors. The eternal soul essence making contact with the body it chose to inhabit. Not metaphor. Literal point of contact between the infinite and the physical.
Left to right — the horizontal axis. Spirit descending into matter. The plane of physical existence. The cross isn’t just a symbol of crucifixion. In every mystery school tradition that predates Christianity by thousands of years, the cross represents the intersection of the divine vertical with the human horizontal. Where they meet is the heart.
You. Right there. Every time.
Thoth describes this sequence in the Emerald Tablets — moving consciousness deliberately through the body’s power centers as a method of activation and coherence. The mystery schools of Egypt encoded this knowledge into initiatory practice. Early Gnostic Christians carried it forward. The Catholic church absorbed it into the most basic gesture every believer performs.
The knowledge didn’t disappear. It went underground into the ritual.
And a billion people perform it weekly without knowing they’re running an ancient activation protocol on their own nervous system.
I realized this tonight touching my own third eye in gratitude and then my heart. I paused. Replayed what my hands had just done. And 53 years of muscle memory suddenly meant something completely different.
It was there all along.
